Student’s Book with interactive eBook
The Student's Book consists of the following sections:
- A Welcome unit to review key grammar and vocabulary from previous years and assess students' English level.
- 9 main units, each focusing on a different topic.
- Every unit includes several videos.
- Culture and CLIC sections.
- Mediation sections (levels 1-2) to improve communication skills in different contexts.
- Learning to Learn sections (levels 3-4), with skills tips and techniques to help students become more effective learners.
At the back of the Student’s Book:
- Grammar Review, for preparation, practice, or revision - ideal for Mixed Ability classes.
- Pronunciation focus with extra speaking tasks to support challenging pronunciation, especially for Spanish speakers.
- Vocabulary Plus and Irregular verbs list.
The code in the Student’s Book provides access to the Interactive Student’s eBook on Cambridge One.
Workbook with Digital Pack
The Workbook offers a wide range of extra exercises to practise all four language skills. The texts and the tasks complement the Student’s Book without repeating content, and the units follow the same structure as their Student’s Book counterparts.
At the back of the Workbook, teachers will find:
- Grammar maps: Visual summaries to present and check each unit’s grammar.
- How to write pages: Explore different text types and practise writing skills.
- Cambridge exam practice: A2 Key for Schools (levels 1–2), B1 Preliminary for Schools (levels 3–4), plus audio scripts for reference.
- Star rating system: All exercises are graded by difficulty - ideal for Mixed Ability classes.
A code in the inside front cover provides access to the Student's Digital Pack which includes a wide range of digital resources.
Teacher’s Book with Digital Pack
The Teacher's Book notes are interleaved with the corresponding Student's Book pages, reproduced in full colour. It includes:
- An introduction which outlines the course content.
- An overview of the Cambridge Framework for Life Compentencies and how it integrates with the Key Competencies and informs the course material.
- An overview of Sustainability Framework for ELT and explanation of how it is integrated into Glow Up's core content.
- An overview of the unit contents and aims.
- Comprehensive teaching notes for all activities.
- Extra ideas for exploiting the material and suggestions for option reinforcement, extension and warm-up activities. Ideal for Mixed Ability classrooms.
