Ready, Steady, Grow!

The Pupil's Book has nine units, each containing eight lessons. There is also a Welcome unit, Sounds and Numbers sections with lessons for each unit, and stickers for every unit.

There are lessons in the Pupil's Book to introduce and practice new vocabulary and language through stories, songs, and activities, as well as a Cross-curricular lesson, a Review lesson, and a Wellbeing lesson.

The Activity Book provides further practice and consolidation of the Pupil's Book vocabulary, language, and skills. It includes more personalisation activities and a range of activities to develop fine motor-skills, as well as a fun craft activity in every unit.

For each lesson of the Pupil's Book, the Activity Book features a corresponding page of activities, so teachers always know which Activity Book page to use.

The Letters and Numbers Workbook provides further practice to support the learning of letters and numbers.

The Teacher's Book helps teachers get the most out of the course material with easy-to-follow instructions and a teacher-friendly layout. It includes detailed step-by-step guidance for the whole lesson including Table Time with the Pupil's book and Activity Book, together with lesson aims and a vast array of ideas for classroom activities.

The teaching notes are interleaved with pages from the Pupil's Book and the spiral binding makes the Teacher's Book easy to use while planning and teaching.

This set of nine large posters for the classroom wall helps to reinforce the vocabulary introduced in the course. Each poster shows a scene with Sofia, Daniel, and all of the vocabulary items labelled.

Big Books are a wonderful way for the teacher to further develop a sense of class community through a shared reading experience. They include the 9 unit stories from the Pupil's Books, reproduced in large format with full-colour illustrations; and come with teaching tips and a suggested teaching script.

Flashcards are a great resource to present the vocabulary for each unit of the Pupil’s Book, and help children make oral and visual connections with the vocabulary. There is one flashcard for each of the new vocabulary items in the unit.

Hug, one of the animal characters in the Pupil’s Book, is also a cuddly sloth puppet who will help teachers to model the new language and skills. Children will associate the puppet with English learning time in school and will be excited to communicate in English with her.
